The Bouquet Fire, which started October 3 near Bouquet Canyon Road south of Bouquet Reservoir, stands at 1,048 acres and 83% contained as of the U.S. Forest Service's October 10 update. Every evacuation order was lifted at 6:00 PM on October 9.

The Rowher Flats OHV area has reopened. Drinkwater OHV and Forest Roads 6N18 and 6N19 remain temporarily closed while repair work continues.

In a related development, federal prosecutors have charged a 70-year-old Santa Clarita man with arson involving federal property, alleging the fire was probably caused by fireworks. He was arrested October 3 on related state charges. The federal case is pending; the charges are allegations at this stage.
