Trixie is a 2-year-old German Shepherd who is waiting at the Castaic Animal Care Center for someone to take her home.

She is a young female — 2 years and 2 months old — with a black coat marked with tan, and she is listed for adoption right now under ID A5757083. German Shepherds are loyal, bright, and happiest with a job to do and a person to do it for, and a dog Trixie's age is past the tiny-puppy stage and ready to settle into real life with a family.

You can meet Trixie at the Castaic Animal Care Center, 31044 North Charlie Canyon Road in Castaic. The center's phone number is (661) 257-3191. If you have been thinking about adding a dog to the house, this is a good weekend to go and meet her — and if Trixie is not the right fit, the center has dozens of other animals waiting for the same chance.
